Bleeding Heart

My old-fashioned red and yellow tulips are beginning to blossom.

It is rare to have my daffodils and tulips out at the same time, but that is the case here this Spring. 

Viola tricolour, Johnny Jump-ups, heartsease, or several other names that this plant goes by, is a prolific self seeding perennial. It is edible, heat-tolerant  and always makes me smile.

This is a repeat performance of the windflower I showed you in the first blog. It is such a pretty long-lasting spring flower; but, I wanted to show you what it looks like when all the flowers are opened up. 

Brunneria Macrophylla - Sky blue flowers that resemble forget-me-not with textured heart shaped foliage. Grows in light shade.
