The cold that wouldn't go away

Some finished projects

A week ago Friday, I felt like I might be coming down with a cold. Within a couple of hours I was coughing from my boots...big deep coughing fits that felt like I was coughing up a lung. My husband and I  were looking forward to going out Saturday night, but instead everyone in the household was in bed sick. And for the next few days I slept several hours during the day. My joints were achy, I had the chills, and I felt so-o-o tired. The cold moved from my chest into my head and I felt totally miserable. But I was able to stay up longer and managed to get a few things accomplished. I was happy over the weekend to get the bathrooms washed and disinfected, and the bed sheets washed. Then I truly felt on the mend, even though I am still not 100%. I worked on some Easter cards for the kiddos.

I made some home-made soups which were filling and warm and felt so good going down.
Today I have come to the realization that we are well into the month of March, into Daylight Savings time, and it is actually starting to feel a little warmer. It feels like Spring, even though the snow is still piled high. I am hoping I catch some Spring Fever, because frankly my motivation feels absolutely drained away. All those projects I had planned for the winter remain undone. I need a fire lit under me. I didn't wash the light fixtures, so they will stay on my list of things to do; and, I will add washing the window treatments this month. April is when I like to clean my windows. Enjoy the day.
