Long and winding water slide
We arrived Saturday just in time to enjoy a spaghetti supper with warm croissants and a fresh Caesar salad. We always bring too much food with us, but it is so yummy. Most of our evenings were spent playing card games or board games, with the occasional evening spent in front of the TV to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play against the Kansas City Royals. I am not normally a baseball fan, but it was Toronto in the finals.....Hey, it was very exciting.
On Sunday, after a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast, we drove to Ottawa. We had purchased tickets on-line to see "Menopause: the Musical" at the Gladstone Theatre. What a hoot! If you are a woman of a certain age, you will certainly appreciate this play. It was "rolling in the aisles" hilarious. If you have a chance to see it?......highly recommended. Before crossing the street to enter the theatre, we ate lunch in a little Italian restaurant. Two of us split a salad and an authentic thin crust pizza. It was lots of food and really, really delicious. Dinner back at the time-share was chicken lasagna and chicken chili casserole with hot garlic bread. I told you that we ate very, very well on these yearly outings. *laugh* I will fill you in on the rest of our week, in my spare time over the weekend.

You are not kidding, this look like a place I would have loved to bring my kids to when they were a bit younger!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about the musical before but haven't seen it. It sounds like you had a great time!
